With support from the Mississippi Hotel & Lodging Association, Mississippi Gulf Coast Attractions Association, and Mississippi Coast Restaurant & Beverage Association, the YOUR SHOT! Tourism & Hospitality Job Fair and Vaccine Drive will provide industry businesses with a chance to find, attract, and engage qualified hospitality talent to fill current or future roles, and will also provide job seeking attendees with an opportunity to receive a one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccine on-site, or schedule an appointment for a vaccine, in partnership with Singing River Health System.
“With increasing visitation to Coastal Mississippi and additional federal unemployment benefits ending on June 12, this is an opportune time for our casinos, hotels, restaurants, and attractions to attract a substantial number of potential industry workers seeking employment and find the perfect fit for any job vacancies they are looking to fill,” said Milton Segarra, CEO of Coastal Mississippi. “Tourism is the lifeblood of Mississippi’s tri-county coastal region, accounting for one-third of the state’s tourism employees, expenditures, and taxes, and we are anticipating a very busy summer ahead.
