Forecasts show a partly sunny day with the possibility of rain in much of Mississippi. Here’s your statewide forecast from the National Weather Service.
Northern Mississippi
It looks like a day full of sunshine in the northern part of the state. Highs will be in the lower 90s with lows in the lower 70s come nightfall. Some isolated showers could come about after the sun goes down.
Central Mississippi
The central part of the state should see sunshine with thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid-90s with heat index readings up to 107. Come nightfall, lows will be in the lower 70s with scattered showers not out of the picture.
Southern Mississippi
After a possibility of rain in the morning, the sky should clear up before a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will be in the mid-80s with lows in the lower 70s after the sun goes down.
