Isolated severe storms capable of damaging wind gusts and hail to the size of quarters will be possible Tuesday afternoon into the evening across portions of central Mississippi and northeast Louisiana.

Northern Mississippi

Plenty of sunshine today with highs in the lower 90s. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows near 70.

Central Mississippi

Sunny, with a chance of showers, thunderstorms, and highs in the lower 90s. Heat index readings will be anywhere from 103 to 108. Partly cloudy tonight with a slight chance of more showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Southern Mississippi

Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms that will linger through the night. Highs will be in the lower 90s, with heat index readings from 106 to 111. Lows tonight will be in the lower to mid-70s.
