Northern Mississippi

Today will be sunny with highs near 90. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s.

Central Mississippi

Today will be mostly sunny with patchy fog in the morning and haze in the afternoon. There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs in the mid-90s and heat index readings from 107 to 112. Tonight will be mostly clear with lows near 70.

Southern Mississippi

It will be mostly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s, with heat index readings of 114 to 119. Tonight will be mostly clear with patchy fog after midnight and lows in the the mid-70s.


Significant heat stress conditions will continue today across parts of southern Mississippi and northeastern Louisiana where heat index values will peak around 110 to 115 degrees. Slightly drier air moving into northern portions of the forecast area will limit the heat, with portions of northern Mississippi expected to have heat index values below 105 today.
