Becoming mostly cloudy today with highs in the lower 60s. Tonight will be cloudy and warmer, with the possibility of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
Southern Mississippi
Today will be partly sunny with highs in the lower to mid-60s. Tonight will be cloudy and warmer with showers and the possibility of thunderstorms. Lows will be in the lower to mid-50s.
The coldest weather of the season could move into Mississippi starting on Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson. The arctic air outbreak is expected to persist through Wednesday, and possibly longer, and could result in a mix of snow and ice.
The greatest chances of impacts to travel and power outages from a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain generally along and southeast of the Natchez Trace corridor, while further north some impacts to travel.
