A major comedy act will be coming to Senatobia in just over two weeks.
Northwest Mississippi Community College announced that Jeff Foxworthy will be taking his talents to the Heindl Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, August 23. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Best known for his “you might be a redneck if …” quip, Foxworthy is classified as one of the most respected and successful comedians in the U.S. He has the greatest number of comedy records sold in history and is a multiple Grammy Award nominee. The iconic comic was once a member of the legendary “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” alongside stars Ron White, Bill Engvall, and Larry The Cable Guy.
Joining Foxworthy in the Senatobia venue will be Tammy Pescatelli as a guest comedian. Pescatelli is widely known for her bold, witty sarcasm. Self-described as a “verbal assassin,” she brings a unique spin on various topics. She has made appearances on various shows including The View, Guy’s Grocery Games, and the Howard Stern Show, among others.
“We could not be more excited to bring legendary comedian Jeff Foxworthy to the Heindl Center on Friday, August 23,” Heindl Center Director Dr. Blake Bostick said.
“Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most respected and successful comedians in the country, the best-selling comedy recording artist in history, a multiple Grammy Award nominee, the best-selling author of more than 26 books, and a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Widely known for his redneck jokes, his act goes well beyond that to explore the humor in everyday family interactions and human nature. Opening for Jeff Foxworthy is Tammy Pescatelli, one of the hardest working women in comedy today, who will bring her brassy, bold voice and witty sarcasm with tongue-in-cheek humor.”
