A Mississippi school bus driver has been charged after a child was injured during a wreck last week.
According to the Yazoo City Police Department, the incident happened Friday on Locust Street. Officials said the juvenile was leaving a house to get into a car waiting on the street. As she was getting in, the bus struck the car resulting in the girl receiving a hand injury.
The bus, driven by Cathy Donald, fled the scene but was later located.
While it’s unclear if Donal was intoxicated at the time of the incident, she did have to undergo a mandatory drug and alcohol test. Donald is being charged with felony hit-and-run.
