TUPELO, Miss.–It was a wreck in Tupelo Thursday that killed 21-year-old Casey McMillin and her unborn baby. She was nine months pregnant, reported WCBI.
It happened around noon on a city street when the pickup the family was riding in tried to pass a bigger truck. Some witnesses said it was on a double yellow line. The smaller truck somehow clipped the bigger one and then went out of control, eventually slamming into two parked cars.
Coroner Carolyn Green told the TV station that they were not wearing seat belts and that was a factor in how serious their injuries were.
McMillin’s husband and another passenger were taken to the hospital. The people in the bigger truck were not hurt seriously.
