Authorities are investigating after a woman allegedly killed her husband in Kosciusko.
Police Chief Greg Collins confirmed that 26-year-old Semyia Jones has been handcuffed in connection with the shooting death of her spouse, 31-year-old Markquarius Jones.
Officers were alerted to the local Baptist Medical Center on Thursday afternoon due to a reported shooting. After investigating, police found that the wife had reportedly shot her husband at the Marathon on Highway 12 East. Markquarius was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Though a detailed account of the events that led up to the shooting has not been released, Semyia has been charged with murder.
