HATTIESBURG, Miss. – An Alabama woman is safe after police said she was abducted in Mobile Monday night and forced to drive to Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The woman, who was not identified, told investigators a 24-year-old man forced his way into her vehicle, held her at gunpoint and ordered her to drive to Hattiesburg, where she was eventually able to escape. Police did not provide a description nor name of the suspect. Because the victim was taken across state lines, the FBI has taken over the investigation.
