COLUMBIA, Miss. — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has arrested a woman in connection to the infant child found on Monday in Columbia.
The child’s body was found in a large metal barrel at 98 Arthur B. Johnson Lane around lunch time.
Now the MBI has 26-year-old Sasha S. Stokes of Lumberton, Miss. in custody and she is waiting for her first appearance in court on a murder charge.
The body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy and at this time no motive has been given by law enforcement.
