The ex-boyfriend of a Simpson County woman was shot and killed after he entered the home she was inside.
According to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a call on Tuesday around 7 p.m. The unidentified caller told law enforcement that her ex-boyfriend, later identified as Brian Stinson, had entered the home located at the 1400 block of Athens Road in Mendenhall with a rifle in hand.
When deputies responded to the scene, they found Simpson dead. The 36-year-old was reportedly shot by another person at the residence.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are investigating the case.
