A Mississippi woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband at his workplace before slashing his tires.
According to the Flowood Police Department, officers received a call on Saturday around 6:30 a.m. stating a male and a female were involved in a disturbance at a local business. Officers responded and found that both people involved were from Mendenhall, about 36 miles southeast of Flowood, with the female subject already fleeing from the scene.
Deputies with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office were able to take the suspect, identified as Falbrina Blackwell, into custody and get her transported back to Rankin County. Blackwell’s husband, whose name has not been released, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
“The case will be forwarded to the Rankin County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution,” the Flowood Police Department noted in an official statement. “Flowood PD thanks Simpson County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in capturing the suspect.”
Blackwell’s charges have not yet been released.
