One Mississippi resident is the winner of $1 million after matching the first five numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing.
The ticket, which was purchased in Vancleave, was just one number shy of the $565 million jackpot after missing the Mega Ball number of 11. In total, the ticket matched the five winning numbers of 9-13-36-59-61. If the ticketholder had purchased the Megaplier option, the prize would have doubled to $2 million.
Now, the Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night’s drawing has risen to $640 million with a cash value of $328.3 million.
The jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing is now an estimated $215 million, with an estimated cash value of $112.3 million. The jackpot for Thursday night’s Mississippi Match 5 drawing is an estimated $139,000.
