WASHINGTON– Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss) has called for the U.S. to stand behind Belgium following the deadly attacks in Brussels.
“America stands with the Belgian people against those who carry out these savage, indiscriminate acts of violence. We need to face the reality of these continued attacks and threats: The civilized world is at war with Islamic extremism.
“The United States and our allies – particularly our Arab allies – need to increase our commitment to find and destroy those who seek to cause us harm.”
At least 10 people were killed and 92 injured at the Zaventem airport, and 20 are dead with up to 130 hurt from the Metro blast.
While the Belgian government is saying it is too early to tell if these attacks have any links to those in Paris, ISIS has claimed responsibility.
