JACKSON, Miss. – It’s time to start thinking about Thanksgiving travel.
Although we’ve still got well over a month to turkey time, travel site Orbitz is saying that this week is the best week to book your thanksgiving flight.
According to Orbitz, once we hit mid-October, those prices are going to shoot way up.
Getting your tickets early is only half the battle, you still got to make your flight. Liston Stage is with the Jackson Municipal Airport and says that for domestic flights you need to make sure and get to the airport an hour ahead of departure and an hour-and-a-half for international flights. Stage says during the holiday season make sure to add thirty minutes to each.
One good thing about this year, prices on flights are expected to be close to ten percent lower than last year.
