Weird Al Yankovic to Play Two Mississippi Concerts in May

JACKSON, Miss. — Weird Al Yankovic reached number one on the Billboard charts for the first time ever last year. This year, he will be playing two concerts in Mississippi on his Mandatory fun tour. The two shows will be at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi on May 22 and at the Tunica Horseshoe Casio in Robinsonville.

Werid Al’s 2014 album Mandatory Fun was the first comedy album to reach the number one spot since Allan Sherman’s “My Son, the Nut” in 1963. Mandatory Fun features songs like “Tacky,” a parody of Pharrel’s popular song “Happy,” and “FOIL,” a parody of Lorde’s ”Royals” where Yankovic brilliantly transitions from talking about keeping your food safe from bacteria to conspiracy theories and black helicopters.

Tickets are expected to go on sale next Tuesday, January 27.
