- Former Long Beach officer, Cassie Barker, was charged, arrested, and released on bond this week for the manslaughter of her 3 year-old daughter, Cheyenne Hyer. Hyer died after being left in a Long Beach Police car for four hours, while Barker visited the home of fellow officer Clark Ladner. They were both also relieved of their duties.
- A Greenville High School teacher was caught on camera dragging a student by her hair, and hitting her. The student is described as having special needs. The school district confirmed the videos and an investigation, but would not comment further.
