Sunshine will hover over the Magnolia state Saturday, bringing temps from the mid 70s in North Mississippi to the mid 80s along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Saturday’s overnight lows will be in the 40s and 50s across the state.
Here’s what you can expect Saturday according to Alan Campbell with the National Weather Service:
Unfortunately the tune changes for Sunday, as another round of that spring severe weather is expected for the southwest portion of the state, and banding across central Mississippi, Sunday evening into Monday.
The National Weather Service predicts localized flooding and some hail, wind gusts, and possibly a tornado or two for Sunday.
News Mississippi will continue to follow the weather for you.
