As Harvey weakens to a tropical storm and turns northward, much of Mississippi is in for heavy rain and even isolated spin-up tornadoes as strong thunderstorms develop over the next few days.
According to the National Weather Service and MEMA, flash flooding is a major concern through the weekend.
Low-lying areas and places that have seen flash flooding in the past are certainly in the most danger.
Damaging winds are also a real threat as the storm picks up speed through the region.
