Fog will make your morning commute hazy, specifically in southwest Mississippi until 9am this morning.
Friday will be a warm one around the state, with above normal temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s according to the National Weather Service.
In North Mississippi, a high in the mid-80s is expected with a chance of thunderstorms increasing through the day.
Moving into Central Mississippi, record-high temps, with Columbus seeing a high of 87.
The Southern portion of Mississippi will also seeing high temps in the high 80s, with chances of showers increasing through the day.
Severe weather will begin to move into the state Saturday afternoon and into Saturday evening. Hail and straight line winds are the main threat, but a tornado cannot be ruled out.
