GREENVILLE, Miss.–A cold front coming through the state starting late Sunday will change the top shelf weather that Mississippi has enjoyed over the past couple of weeks. With the front could be strong to severe storms.
“During the day Monday there’ll be enough heating and instability around to warrant a couple of strong to severe storms,” said Mike Edmunston, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
He said the best chance for a strong or severe storm is in the north half of the state, particularly in the Delta.
“We’re expecting the potential for some hail and winds up to 60 mph.”
Temps will remain in the 80s.
