WAYNE COUNTY, Miss– Cocaine, Xanax, Zanaflex, Meth, Hydrocodone and Ecstasy were all found in Wayne County and now 15 people are in jail.
Keeping drugs off the streets is part of the battle in Wayne County. Thanks to a three month operation, cops there can say they have made strides in that fight.
There are fifteen people in the pen now, all with various drug charges. Cocaine, Ecstasy, Xanax, Zanaflex, Meth and Hydrocodone were brought in, as well as multiple weapons. Criminal Investigator Kevin Smith tells WDAM it was a group effort.
“”This operation was successful due to the cooperation of the Board of Supervisors, the sheriff’s, deputies, investigators, citizens of Wayne County as well as the Wayne County patrol and ROCIC,” said Investigator Stevens. ROCIC is the Regional Organized Crime Information Center.
The charges varied from sale to conspiracy. The suspects will appear in court for the first time today.
