Jackson–After a public water disaster in Toledo, you may wonder if your water is safe.
There are ways to find out how your water is kept safe. The Bureau of Public Water Supply requires that your water department tells you annually how your water is tested. If you are on well water, you’ll have to contact the county for an inspection, but public water systems are checked depending on their population size. Typically, the bigger the population, the more the water is checked. The Bureau of Public Water Supply provides a report to the governor every three years to show how your water is being protected. You can find that report on the Department of Health’s Bureau of Public Water Supply website.
