CLEVELAND, Miss.–If you get someone to look after your elderly relatives, you’d better watch ’em like a hawk. That’s the lesson coming down after Lisa Boyd Smith, 44, was arrested in Bolivar County, with $8,000 that belongs to the elderly couple she was hire to take care of.
Smith was indicted by a grand jury in Bolivar County and was arrested last week, said Atty. Gen. Jim Hood.
Smith, of Boyle, is accused of buying things with bank cards and getting cash with the cards, both of which belonged to the Cleveland couple.
Hood said if Smith is convicted she could get 10 years in jail.
