Doctors say one of the best things you can do to prevent sickness this season is to make sure to wash your hands.
“It’s very important to wash your hands as often as possible. I always suggest using an anti-bacterial soap as often as possible,” Dr. April Hederman, Pediatrician.
Dr. Hederman emphasizes that it’s always best to do these things before and after eating, and especially after being in contact with a sick person. Washing up can’t prevent every sickness, but it can be your first line of defense.
If you ever find yourself in a place where you can’t wash your hands but you need to, using hand sanitizer is always a good option. It won’t clean off all the dirt, but it will sterilize any germs or bacteria you may have picked up.
