NEW ALBANY, Miss.–After almost six years running from police, Janet and Ramon Barreto are back in Mississippi to face charges that they illegally adopted Guatemalan children, abused them, and even killed their two-year-old adopted daughter, before taking off.
The couple were returned to Union County Sunday after being caught at a Portland, Oregon mall, where they were selling DVDs out of the back of their car.
The couple’s charges also include tampering with a witness.
