OXFORD, MISS– A video is making rounds on Facebook that shows a man taking a hit from what the poster says is police working security at the Ole Miss and LSU game this weekend in Oxford.
Holly Barnes posts on Facebook that her husband, a veteran, was punched in the face and arrested by police working the game.
The man was arrested, and upon making bail, was taken to the hospital. Barnes says he has a concussion, fractures to the bones around his eye and sinuses, and damage to the tissues in his eye.
University police say the men in the video are officers from off campus that are hired to help police the games. UPD is investigating the incident.
