BROOMFIELD, CO– 3 Doors Down, known for hits like “Kryptonite,” and “Here Without You,” is made up mostly of Mississippi natives. So when a guy in the crowd gets a little too rowdy, lead singer Brad Arnold, originally from Escatawpa, stops the show to defend a woman in the crowd. (Photo from 3 Doors Down Facebook page)
The concert was Tuesday night in Broomfield, Colorado, reports Entertainment Weekly. The band was starting another set, when Arnold sees a man in the crowd punch a woman.
“Hang on, hang on, hey homie!” says Arnold to stop the band and get the guy’s attention, “you don’t hit a woman! Someone get him out of here.”
As the man was removed from the crowd, the band continued the show. An eyewitness who says she was at the show comments on the Entertainment Weekly article that Arnold later came out to apologize to the crowd–not for throwing the guy out, but for cussing on stage. Arnold said that he promised his mom when he was 15 that he would never do that.
On the band’s Facebook page, guitarist Chris Henderson wrote “Just another reason I’m proud to be in this band!” when he shared the video.
