VICKSBURG, Miss. – More than ten acres of land is being donated to the Vicksburg National Military Park.
The 11-acre plot is located alongside North Frontage Road and is the first piece of land the National Civil War Trust and Friends of Vicksburg National Military Park has saved that happens to be associated with the siege of Vicksburg.
According to WJTV, the trust is expected to make an announcement regarding the donation Thursday.
