GULFPORT, Miss. – A former South Mississippi teacher has been indicted on charges of molesting students over a period of about 40 years.
William Richard Pryor was in court Monday where a four count federal indictment against him was revealed. In two counts, Pryor is accused of transporting with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity; and in the other two, he is accused of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
According to an affidavit, Pryor has admitted to the FBI that two former students’ allegations of molestations are true. He also identified at least six of his other victims. Since those facts became public, FBI agents said three more victims have come forward with their stories.
Prosecutors claim that most of the abuse happened during out of state trips.Pryor pled not guilty Monday to all charges. If convicted, he could be in prison for decades.
