Residents in Harrison County could soon hear loud noises from outside, but officials are assuring people there’s nothing to be concerned about.
Air combat training will be conducted at and around the Gulfport Combat Training Center from mid-January through mid-February. The center provides a realistic, joint-service training environment for United States Air Force units to enhance their capabilities and combat readiness.
In the upcoming weeks, the training center will be hosting several units that will carry out simulated air combat training. Noise levels can vary depending on the time of day, atmospheric conditions, and the number and type of aircraft involved.
