WASHINGTON, DC. — The U.S. Supreme Court has decided today not to hear the appeal of ex-Klansman Edgar Ray Killen.
The 88-year-old is serving 60 years for manslaughter in the civil rights era deaths of Michael Schwerner, James Chaney and Andrew Goodman in Neshoba County. Killen was convicted 41 years after their murders and had claimed his constitutional rights were violated during his 2005 trial.
