JACKSON, Miss. – The first shipping deadline for holiday mail is just one day away.
It’s hard to even imagine but the U.S. Postal Service will be delivering over 15 billion pieces of holliday mail this year.
Close to 600 million of those packages will be delivered between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. That’s over 10 percent more than they did last year.
The Postal Service also plans to hire 30,000 seasonal employees.
