SEMINARY, Miss.- Two people were rescued from the Bouie River overnight in Seminary after getting lost.
Greg Sanford of the Covington County Emergency Management Agency told WJTV the men were in their early 20’s and went out on the river near the Oakdale Church Road around noon.
Sanford said they were supposed to be picked up around 4 that evening at the river drop near Main Street Bridge, but never showed up. That’s when their ride called emergency responders.
Emergency crews found the men around midnight.
