Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest has confirmed that two of the three teens accused in the Kingston Frazier case have been indicted.
May 18, 2017, the day started with an Amber Alert and ended with Kingston found dead in the back seat of his mother’s car after it was stolen from the Kroger parking lot in Jackson back in May.
Now, 19-year-old Byron McBride has been indicted for capital murder in the shooting death of Kingston.
McBride has been jailed without bond since his arrest hours after Kingston was killed.
District Attorney Guest said that then 17-year-old DeAllen Washington has also been indicted.
However, the third individual involved in the case, then 17-year-old Dwan Wakefield has not been indicted and is currently out on bond.
Guest added that McBride and Washington have been charged as adults.
Guest said that the next step in the case is for McBride and Washington to be served and then arraigned so that court dates will be able to be scheduled.
