LAS VEGAS, Nev.- After B.B. King’s burial last week, two of his most outspoken heirs are now saying that their father’s death was no accident. The lawyer of daughters Patty King and Karen Williams provided the associated press with documents that accuse King’s business manager, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson, of poisoning their father.
Clark County Coroner said on Monday that an autopsy was performed Sunday on King’s embalmed body, but the results of which won’t be available for up to eight weeks.
King’s body has been returned to a mortuary, and the investigation shouldn’t delay planned memorials this week in Memphis, Tennessee, and Indianola, Mississippi.
Homicide detectives are still investigating the death.
