JACKSON, Miss– Tougaloo College and William Carey University have made the list for ‘Best Value Colleges’ by the University Research and Review. They’re the only two Mississippi colleges on the list.
Getting more bang for your buck, especially when you have to get student loans to cover it. That’s what the University Research and Review says you’ll get at Tougaloo College and William Carey University.
Nearly 8,000 post-secondary colleges are nominated either by a third party or the URR’s committee. Then the researchers take a look at how much attendance costs, merits, achievements, and anything else that makes that college unique.
But that’s not all they look for. The URR scours social media and review sites for what the students and alumni have to say about the college that is nominated. When all of these factors check out, the selection committee picks The Best Value Schools.
Tougaloo College and William Carey University were the only Mississippi universities to make the list.
