JACKSON COUNTY- Two women from Texas were arrested in South Mississippi on Wednesday for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
The South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team noticed a vehicle moving recklessly on Interstate 10 in Jackson County and pulled the vehicle over near mile marker 56.
There were two women in the vehicle, Yohanna Ruiz-Guerra, 37 from Houston Texas, and Evelyn Juarez, 19 of Humble Texas. When officers pulled them over, they discovered one kilogram of cocaine.
The two women were arrested and the vehicle was taken to a secure location.
After completing the search of the vehicle FBI Task Force Officers found a total of 13.2 pounds of cocaine.
Ruiz-Guerra and Juarez went before the United States Magistrate Judge John C. Gargiulo on Thursday and were ordered to be held without bond until a preliminary hearing.
