TUPELO, Miss.- Two 14-year-olds were involved in a shooting this morning in Tupelo. One is now in the hospital and the other is in jail.
The two boys were at home when one was shot in the ear. Police told WJTV that it is unclear at this time whether the shot was an accident or intentional.
The shooter then went to school, Tupelo Middle School, where the gun was recovered and he was taken into custody. It was unloaded when the cops found it.
Schools that were put on lock down due to the event were then released of the order around 10:30, after the gun was found and the student was arrested.
