Two people are dead following a plane crash in Tupelo.
According to WTVA, a small plane crashed Saturday morning around 8 a.m. near the Tupelo Regional Airport.
Tupelo Police Chief John Quaka confirmed the two deaths within hours of the accident, with St. James Catholic Church later identifying the deceased as Dr. Charles Montgomery and Patrick Fain.
Montgomery worked as a hematologist and oncologist at North Mississippi Medical Center while Fain was the pilot. The two flew often together, according to the local TV station.
