JACKSON, Miss. – A huge show of force rallied together for funding a tropper school to bring in more officers for the state.
They need more funding for a trooper school so they can have more officers on the roads. Mississippi is short about 150 troopers right now and Mississippi Highway Patrol wants to do something about it.
The Mississippi State Troopers’ Association will hold a press conference in the Capitol Wednesday, February 26 at 10 a.m. to seek legislative approval and funding for a trooper school to be conducted this year.
Without enough troopers on the road, Mississippians safety is more at risk.
