STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Athletics Director for Mississippi State University has apologized for an obscene phrase printed on the back of one of the baseball team’s practice jerseys.
The warm up shirt, which has “Viva Starkvagas” on the front, is covered in connecting dots on the back with several phrases including one that uses an expletive to describe Ole Miss, “F-the school up North,” it read. AD Scott Stricklin said the profanity is completely unacceptable “and does not reflect the standards and values of Mississippi State University.”
Adidas supplied the uniform shirts and took full responsibility for the foul language. There are also other phrases on the shirt including Hail State, Dudy Noble and Left Field Lounge.
