The top recruit in Ole Miss’ 2019 class has decommited from the Rebels, and Mississippi State has lost a significant piece of their class.
Jackson Prep RB Jerrion Ealy took to Twitter this morning to announce that he has decided to decommit from Ole Miss, and he stated that he will make his decision on National Signing Day in February.

Ealy is the #4 RB in the nation for the 2019 recruiting cycle and the #2 player overall in Mississippi.
It may not be a coincidence that Ealy decommited from Ole Miss the morning after Clemson won the National Championship. The 4-star RB already had a visit to Clemson scheduled prior to the game, but the chance to join a defending national champion in 2019 may be intriguing enough to lure Ealy to the Tigers.
The other possibility is that Ealy never even plays college football as the 2-sport athlete is projected to be a top pick in the upcoming MLB Draft in June. Ealy recently told 247 Sports that he’ll cross that bridge when he comes to it.
“When June rolls around, I will make that decision, but for right now, I plan to go play college football and baseball,” he said.
Recently, Ealy showed Rebel fans what they’ll miss out on after a record-breaking performance in the Under Armour All-America Game. The RB put up a game-record 116 yards with 2 TDs while earning MVP honors in the all-star game on a national stage.
At Jackson Prep this past season, Ealy helped lead the Patriots to a state title while rushing for over 1,500 yards with 24 touchdowns.
As for the Bulldogs, DE Charles Moore, a 4-star recruit from Louisville, posted his intention to decommit on Twitter last night.

Auburn, Tennessee and Florida are thought to be in play to land Moore, and Moore recently told ‘Auburn Undercover’ that the Tigers were “a close second” to MSU when he first committed. Moore has taken 4 visits to Auburn, and he will take a visit to Florida on January 11th.
The 6’4 270-pound DE is the #9 player at his position in the country, and the #8 overall prospect in the state of Mississippi.
