IUKA, Miss.- Tishomingo County Schools are on lock down this morning due to a reported threat.
12 :30 p.m.- The Lockdown has been lifted reported Tishomingo authorities. The issue was resolved and schools will return to their normal schedule.
The school district released a statement on the situation. It is posted below:
All schools within the school district have been placed on lock down due to a reported threat. We will remain on lock down until the situation is resolved. We have no immediate threat at this time and this is a precautionary measure. Due to the safety of our students and employees, parents will not be allowed to pickup students at this time, until the situation is resolved. We appreciate your cooperation. Again, this is a precautionary measure.
The district will notify the public when the situation has been cleared.
