The Real McCoy Thrift store in Jackson has tons of new and used wedding dresses for sale, and the money helps fund the McCoy House Sober Living Center.
It’s a recovery facility for women in Central Mississippi that offers women with addictions, a place to heal.
“The McCoy House is a transitional living facility for women,” said Denise Marsters, with the McCoy House for Sober Living. “who have gone through a chemical dependency program.. and many who go through inpatient care go into a sober home for up to 90 days.”
It provides a safe and secure place to start the life-long journey of recovery. Emphasis is placed on unity within the home, working a 12-step program, and being responsible and self-supporting.
