KEMPER COUNTY, Miss.–One of the names released today by the Kemper County Sheriff’s Department might surprise you.
University of Alabama basketball player Devonta Pollard has been arrested along with two others, according to WTOK.
Pollard’s mother, Jesse Mae, was also arrested several weeks ago in connection with the kidnapping of 6-year-old Jashayla Hopson from her elementary school.
Joyce and Shaquayla Johnigan were were the other two taken into custody today on conspiracy to commit the kidnapping.
Hopson was found a day after she was taken on April 30 in a rural part of Lauderdale County unharmed after she had evidently been dropped off on the side of the road.
