A Gautier man has been arrested following a shooting at a Biloxi nightclub on Friday night.
21-year-old Wanya Rayon Shaquille Scott was arrested after officers with the Biloxi PD responded the Horseshoe Lounge on Veterans Avenue, where they found three individuals who had been injured after being shot.
Officials say that Scott left the building and retrieved a gun from a vehicle after an altercation inside of the club. A media release stated that after he got the gun, Scott then fired numerous shots towards the building where multiple people were standing.
An armed security guard from the club returned fire and was one of the three injured in the shooting. Other victims included a 27-year-old woman and 39-year-old man. They were all taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
After trading gunfire with the guard, Scott fled the scene in a vehicle. He was later found and arrested at a nearby apartment complex. Scott has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Scott’s bond has been set at $300,000 – $100,000 per charge.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
