WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Visa Waiver Program Improvement Act passes the U.S. House of Representatives, and Representative Bennie Thompson says this is a step in the right direction for protecting the United States.
“I am pleased that the House was able to come together and pass legislation today to strengthen the Visa Waiver program. This legislation will strengthen passport requirements, enhance information sharing and visitor screening, and restrict travel by those who have visited certain countries. I am confident that we will continue to work on a bipartisan basis to help strengthen the Visa Waiver program, prevent terrorist travel, and better secure the homeland.”
