Mississippi’s favorite Easter candy probably won’t take you by too much of a surprise.
According to a study conducted by Instacart, the most popular candy in the Magnolia State isn’t Peeps, Reese’s, or Starburst Jelly Beans. Rather, Mississippi joins 22 other states with the most-purchased Easter candy being the Cadbury Easter Crème Egg.
As for America as a whole, these are the top 10 most popular Easter candies filling baskets with the Cadbury Easter Crème Egg and Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs combining for the top candy in each state across 88% of the country:
Another fun fact: Instacart also found that nearly two-thirds of Americans (65%) agree Easter candy is the best seasonal candy. 57% say Easter candy is better than Halloween candy.
